Current Sense AMP

  • Enhanced PWM Rejection Function
  • Outstanding Common-Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR)
  • Wide Common-Mode Range: -20V to +80V
  • High Accuracy
  • Available Gains :20V/V,50V/V,100V/V
  • Quiescent Current: 1.8mA (Typical)

The MSA2240 is a voltage-output current sense amplifier with an enhanced PWM rejection function. It can sense the voltage drop across a shunt resistor over a wide common-mode voltage range of -20V to +80V.
The negative common-mode capability allows the shunt resistor to operate below ground potential, accommodating the flyback period in solenoid applications. In systems controlled by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals, the enhanced PWM rejection function provides a high level of common-mode rejection against large common-mode transients without causing significant transients in the output voltage.
The MSA2240 operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, with a typical quiescent current of 1.8mA and a bandwidth of 500kHz. It offers three gain options: 20V/V, 50V/V, and 100V/V.
The MSA2240 is specified for operation from -40°C to +125°C and is offered in SOP8, MSOP8, and TSSOP8 packages.
